Thirty lines of stock, invented: the catalogue of a hardware shop that does not exist, as a composed page — two rooms side by side, every line in a dense table pulled twelve at a time, and two rooms deferred by section.

A pierced brass plate on three feet.
Brass tap washers, mixed
A tin of the common sizes.
Iron skillet, ten inch
Seasoned twice before it leaves the shop.
Oak bread board
End grain, oiled, a hand's width thick.
Oak stool
Three legs, a turned seat, waxed.
Steel pan rack
A wall rack with eight hooks and a shelf.

Twelve wires, a sealed handle.

Workshop

Eight ounces on a braided line.
